Ben is a paediatric consultant in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC). He has a special interest in paediatric respiratory medicine.
His other passion is paediatric medical education. During his training he completed a simulation fellowship in the RBHSC and remains an active member of the RBHSC SimEd Team. His research to date has focused on clinician’s gaze behaviour and the effects of environmental priming in simulated scenarios. His MSc in Clinical Education evaluated educational interventions used to teach paediatric prescribing. He is also an Associate Editor for Archives of Disease in Childhood Education & Practice.
Outside of work he enjoys playing golf and football and is a long suffering Nottingham Forest fan.
