Are you interested in mentoring PEdSIG members in their pursuit in developing as paediatric educators?
If so, please apply to join the PEdSIG Mentor Scheme!
The PEdSIG Mentorship Scheme allows members to receive tailored support in their educational roles.
By applying to become a PEdSIG Mentor you will be entered into our PEdSIG Mentor List which will be available to PEdSIG members on the ‘members only’ area of the website. Members can then read the mentor descriptions and contact the mentor they feel suits their needs the most.
What we expect of you as a PEdSIG mentor:
-Promptly reply to any mentees that contact you to request mentorship (N.B. if you are popular enough to get too many mentee requests and do not have enough time to mentor them all, please let us know and we can take you off our mentorship list as required).
-Establish a mentoring relationship via email, whatsapp, phone, facetime, skype, or face-to-face as appropriate.
-Feedback to us about the mentorship process
-We hope mentors will act as sounding board for mentees and share their personal experiences in medical education to inspire the trainees to develop as paediatric educators.
