Nick is a general paediatric consultant with an interest in paediatric neurology at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals.
His education journey so far has included three years organising the East of England paediatric ST1-3 teaching days and establishing annual regional simulation courses to support paediatric trainees at threshold moments in their training pathway. From 2018 to 2021 he was the national trainee representative to the RCPCH Start, assessment, and examination executive committees, and he is now RCPCH representative to the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges Foundation Programme Committee. He is a tutor on the University of Cambridge Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
His research interest is in postgraduate medical training, and his masters explored the ways in which paediatricians in the UK use Multi-Source Feedback.
Along with his love of food and caffeine (two things that go very well with medical education) Nick is passionate about promoting PEdSIG across the UK and enabling healthcare professionals from all backgrounds to build their skills as medical educators.
