Elke is a Paediatric trainee in the West Midlands and has a longstanding passion for medical education, particularly simulation training and student/trainee motivation. Her involvement started at medical school, where she organised numerous mock OSCEs and co-founded the inspireMEdicine Conference, a one-day student-run career conference, aimed to inspire and enthuse students about their chosen careers.
Since graduating, she has become heavily involved in the running and developing of simulation programs in Birmingham and is currently delving into education theory by undertaking a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education.
As a Dutch expat, her favourite colour is orange. She loves baking, photography, travelling and Bollywood dancing.
