Nia is currently a paediatric registrar in London.  She is passionate about medical education and has 18 months experience as an undergraduate teaching fellow. This role led her to gain a fellowship at the HEA and a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Education from the IOE.

Nia enjoys writing, has an interest in medical education research and has co-authored a chapter on medical education in the most recent edition of ‘Recent Advances in Paediatrics’.  As an APLS instructor and a trained simulation facilitator she has a particular interest in interdisciplinary learning.

In October 2015 Nia visited Uganda where she worked alongside midwives, obstetricians and paediatric colleagues to deliver a novel teaching programme aimed at reducing neonatal, maternal and child mortality in a rural hospital.
