A synopsis of Hannah’s presentation: There is enormous variation in child health placements for medical students across the UK.  We conducted a consultation with a wide range of child health professionals and students asking what the core components of an undergraduate child health curriculum should be.  Using the Delphi methodology of voting by contributors, we established the core knowledge, skills and behaviour essential for medical students during their child health attachments.  These now form the basis for the national undergraduate curriculum for child health which is being formally launched in November 2015
